Believing the Bible from the first verse!

The San Antonio Bible Based Science Association (SABBSA) meets from 7 to 9 PM the second Tuesday of each month at Jim's restaurant located on the corner of San Pedro and Ramsey - approximately 1 mile outside Loop 410.

Next Meeting: Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at 7 pm

Our September meeting will feature a critical viewing of the evolutionist's video "Flock of Dodos, the Evolution - Intelligent Design Circus." When this film premiered a couple of years ago at UTSA our own Dr. Carl Williams represented the creationist community in this area by being one of the responders to the film. He will host this viewing and lead a discussion of the film. This film was developed by an evolutionist who believed he was doing a documentary exploring both sides of the controversy. Instead, he ended up with a piece slanted toward evolution, but lamenting why the general public still believes in creation despite their efforts? Please join us in September.

ICR Needs Your Help!

The state of Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board went outside of their policies in denying ICR a license to offer masters of science degrees in Texas (see our May newsletter for the complete story). Please pray for a speedy and positive resolution to this problem as ICR prepares an appeal to the board. The appeal will set the groundwork for further legal action if it is needed. You may also write board chairman Dr. Paredes a note expressing your displeasure at their decision. Dr. Paredes email is: Raymund.Paredes@thecb.state.tx.us. His snail-mail address is:
Dr. Raymund Paredes,

1200 East Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78752-1743
