The Williams acted as point men in the logistics of setting things up with Castle Hills, doing the leg work for our advertising, coordinating our calls to Christian schools, printing leaflets and cards and serving as the communication conduit with John Pendleton. They were surely used in this endeavor as God’s instruments and it is clear that the success of this past month would have not been possible without their effort and direction. There are many other people who should be recognized for their efforts each time we put on a seminar or presentation. Our thanks to June Gulliuza for answering the phones. There were in excess of 260 in attendance, including many children from Christian schools and home schoolers across the area. In his presentation of “Dinosaurs in the Bible” he covered a multiplicity of evidences for the recent sightings of dinosaurs. He showed slides of the MacFall property dig site outside of Glenrose where distinct man made footprints and dinosaur footprints cross each other in the same level of strata showing that we did coexist with dinosaurs. Underscoring this is the exhibit which Dr. Carl Baugh has in his Museum outside Glenrose of a human footprint which has stepped into a dinosaur’s footprint. A slide of this find was shown. He retraced the history of “serpent” legends and gave insight on how these, like most legends have their root in fact. The proliferation of these sightings, stories, drawings in caves and on pottery of dinosaurs by humans (as we have had an entire presentation on a couple of years ago by Dr. Patton) all point to our interaction with these creatures which did not cease to exist 65 million years ago as popular dogma would tell us. Indeed, the bible tells of two huge animals, “Behemoth” and “Leviathan.” The account in Job of Behemoth matches well with what we know of either an </w:t></w:r><w:proofErr w:type="spellStart"/><w:r><w:rPr><w:sz w:val="24"/><w:sz-cs w:val="24"/></w:rPr><w:t>Apatosaur</w:t></w:r><w:proofErr w:type="spellEnd"/><w:r><w:rPr><w:sz w:val="24"/><w:sz-cs w:val="24"/></w:rPr><w:t> or a Brachiosaur. Leviathan’s description matches well with the Plesiosaur and there have been many recent sightings of Plesiosaur type beasts all over the world including two documented catches of dead Plesiosaur carcasses in fishing nets. </w:t></w:r></w:p><w:p><w:pPr><w:rPr><w:sz w:val="24"/><w:sz-cs w:val="24"/></w:rPr></w:pPr></w:p><w:p><w:pPr><w:rPr><w:sz w:val="24"/><w:sz-cs w:val="24"/></w:rPr></w:pPr><w:r><w:rPr><w:sz w:val="24"/><w:sz-cs w:val="24"/></w:rPr><w:t>After a break and perusal of the John Pendleton and “Answers in Genesis” materials John Pendleton answered written questions. We also had a brief word from Adam McManus whose radio talk show John Pendleton had been on and which undoubtedly lended to our great turnout. Mr. Pendleton’s second topic, “Ape men” covered the gamut of the “missing link” finds over the years. He talked about the dubious find of “Java man.” He detailed how this find was pieced together out of fragments spread 50 feet apart, among other human remains! He covered the fantasies of </w:t></w:r><st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on"><w:r><w:rPr><w:sz w:val="24"/><w:sz-cs w:val="24"/></w:rPr><w:t>Nebraska</w:t></w:r></st1:place></st1:State><w:r><w:rPr><w:sz w:val="24"/><w:sz-cs w:val="24"/></w:rPr><w:t> man which spurred whole drawings of what they looked like from a single tooth! This find of course was discredited when it was found to be that of an extinct pig! He covered the fraud of Piltdown man and the problems with the partial find called “Lucy.” It was also discussed that the Neanderthals had rickets and curvature of the spine which gave them their brutish appearance. But, he noted that these are features which we associate with old age in humans and the Neanderthals increased brain capacity not only suggests they may have been more evolved (not less) but it really suggests they were normal humans with extremely old ages (like the bible describes). Over 200 of those in attendance stayed for the second presentation. </w:t></w:r></w:p><w:p><w:pPr><w:rPr><w:sz w:val="24"/><w:sz-cs w:val="24"/></w:rPr></w:pPr></w:p><w:p><w:pPr><w:rPr><w:sz w:val="24"/><w:sz-cs w:val="24"/></w:rPr></w:pPr><w:r><w:rPr><w:sz w:val="24"/><w:sz-cs w:val="24"/></w:rPr><w:t> The next Monday we had 23 in attendance to hear Mr. Pendleton talk on “6 Day Creation.” He covered the basics of the meaning of the word “yom” in the bible and how these had to be read as literal 24 hour days. The standard vision of a water canopy and an edenic earth was drawn via words and slides. One nonstandard in his presentation was the discourse on how the concepts of “week” and the “work week” are universal themes in all cultures of the world. He also pointed out that scientific studies have verified that the best framework for humans to work in to remain maximally effective and productive is the 7 day week with 6 days of work and one of rest as the creator designed us for!. </w:t></w:r></w:p><w:p><w:pPr><w:rPr><w:sz w:val="24"/><w:sz-cs w:val="24"/></w:rPr></w:pPr></w:p><w:p><w:pPr><w:rPr><w:sz w:val="24"/><w:sz-cs w:val="24"/></w:rPr></w:pPr><w:r><w:rPr><w:sz w:val="24"/><w:sz-cs w:val="24"/></w:rPr><w:t>Our next regular meeting will be this coming Tuesday night February 8 at Jim’s Restaurant at the corner of San Pedro and Ramsey.
